Dear all students,
I decided to cancel tomorrow's lecture and will give the last lecture on next Tuesday, October 7th at 15:00 in Room 204 in Electrum (You can see the modified course plan). A few reasons for doing so are:
- To give you feedback of Homework #2 and #3 before you submit Homework #4
- To prevent you from being infected by my unprecedentedly prosperous cold viruses
- To help you submit mini-project proposals due on this Wednesdy, October 1st.
I hope you can attend my last lecture because maximum likelihood method is a very broadly applicable particularly when fitting your sample data to a truncated probability distribution, which is quite common in practice.
